ABOUT OUR CLUB

NPTHC first opened in 1981by Great Gandmaster Lee Jung Nam (9th Dan) and is currently run by Grandmaster Steve Drummond (7th Dan),since 1994; he also has over 30 years teaching experience.

Our club teaches Korean martial arts of traditional Taekwondo, combat sports (inc Olympic Taekwondo), Hapkido, elements of Kuk Sool won, and most importantly, real and practical Hosin (self-defense); our club founder was ex-special forces.

We are the first club in New Zealand (1 of only 2 nationally) that are officially recongised by both Taekwondo and Hapkido world governing bodies.

NPTHC has received top awards and commendations from the South Korean Prime Minster, Busan City Mayor and a host of top International Grandmasters.
